Deed from Benjamin CARTER to Silas CARTER

To all People to whom these Presents shall come:--GREETING.

KNOW Ye, That I Benjamin CARTER of Killingworth in the County of Middlesex & State of Connecticut

for the consideration of Twenty Dollars

Received to my full satisfaction of Silas CARTER of Killingworth in the County & State aforesaid--

Do give, grant, bargain, fell, and confirm unto the said Silas CARTER his heirs & assigns forever one certain piece of land lying in the Township of Killingworth known by the name of the Sawmill north end of the Saw mill pasture - containing five acres as the fence now stands be the same more or less-Bounded northerly by land belonging to Josiah & Hubbel CARTER - westerly & Southerly & Easterly by my own land --

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the above granted and bargained premises, with the appurtenances thereof, unto him the said Silas CARTER his heirs and assigns forever, to his and their own proper use and behoof. And also, I the said Benjamin CARTER do for my self and my heirs, executors and administrators, covenant with the said Silas CARTER his heirs and assigns; that all and until the ensealing these presents I am well seized of the premises as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple, and have good to bargain and sell the same in manner and form as is above written, and that the same is free of all incumbrances whatsoever.

AND FURTHERMORE, I the said Benjamin CARTER

Do by these presents, bind my self and my heirs forever to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises, to him the said Silas CARTER his heirs and assigns, against all claims and demands whatsoever.

IN WITNESS whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 21- day of April Anno Domini 1803
